Augustin Dumay: Documentary & Digital Presence

Knight Classical led a refreshed digital presence for violinist Augustin Dumay, combining strategic social media development with the production of an original documentary film reflecting on his career and current recording projects.

Knight Classical was engaged to produce a 20-minute documentary film centred on Augustin Dumay’s new recording contract with Warner Classics. Filmed in London, the documentary follows the recording of the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Philharmonia Orchestra under the direction of Eliahu Inbal, interwoven with reflective interviews exploring Dumay’s career, artistic values, and legacy.

Short-form teaser edits were created to support digital distribution and audience discovery across social platforms.

The project was realised with the support of a private patron, with budgets and delivery shaped in accordance with patron approval, whilst Knight Classical worked operationally with the artist’s team throughout. The documentary is available to watch on YouTube.

Social media management

Our work focused on reactivating an established but dormant Facebook presence whilst launching and building a new, curated Instagram account, designed to support a more professional, consistent public profile. We developed and delivered an ongoing content and posting strategy with a strong emphasis on performance-led video, rehearsals, collaborations, touring activity, and carefully contextualised archive material.

Across the campaign periods, Facebook maintained a reach of 60k+ followers with strong engagement, whilst Instagram grew from launch to 1,470+ followers, driven by consistent Reels performance and improved visual cohesion. Alongside delivery, Knight Classical concluded the project with clear long-term recommendations to protect and consolidate audience growth, including coordinated publishing, access control, and prioritisation of high-quality vertical video.
