Kyung Wha Chung: Bach Sonatas & Partitas

Whilst managing the internationally celebrated violinist Kyung Wha Chung, the Knight Classical team secured a multi-disc recording contract with Warner Classics.

Recording project

For the first album of this series, we developed a major recording legacy project centred on the complete J.S. Bach Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin – among the most seminal works in the violin repertoire.

Barbican Centre, London

To support the release of the album, our team produced a major international concert presentation at the Barbican Centre. We oversaw this project in its entirety – from concert production to visual design, photography, and filmed documentation – presenting the performance within a coherent visual and artistic framework.

Carnegie Hall, New York

A further international presentation followed at Carnegie Hall. We appointed and collaborated with Opus 3 Artists as the local producing partner whilst maintaining overall project oversight and coordination, ensuring continuity between the London and New York presentations.

Integration with Artist Management

The project was developed within the Knight Classical team’s management of Kyung Wha Chung as a coordinated recording, performance, and media initiative. Alongside the recording and international concert presentations, we created filmed and photographic documentation of the London performance, ensuring that the project existed not only as a live artistic moment but also as a lasting cultural record.

By aligning artist management, recording strategy, concert presentation, and visual documentation within a single framework, the initiative extended the reach of Kyung Wha Chung’s interpretation of this landmark repertoire to audiences worldwide, preserving the work of a major artist through enduring cultural documentation alongside public performance.
