New World Symphony: Exploring World Flutes

Knight Classical was commissioned by the New World Symphony to produce a filmed online performance project featuring one of their Flute Fellows.

The film combined performance with structured interview material, exploring repertoire across multiple types of flutes, and offering insight into the technical and artistic distinctions between them – creating both a performance presentation, and an educational portrait.

Knight Classical led the filming process from pre-production through to final delivery, integrating musical performance with considered dialogue to create a coherent and engaging digital format. Particular emphasis was placed on clarity of sound, visual detail, and editorial structure, ensuring that both the musical and pedagogical elements were presented with equal care.

The resulting film is an example of our experience in developing hybrid performance-documentary formats for leading international institutions.
