Film and video are central to Knight Classical’s creative practice. With over a decade of experience, we are recognised for producing work that combines strong visual authorship with deep musical understanding and meticulous editorial craft – resulting in audio-visual work that is cinematic, musically informed, and contextually grounded.

Range and formats

Our work spans formats ranging from intimate single-camera shoots to complex multi-camera productions, each approached with the same attention to detail and artistic intent. Projects include long-form documentaries, performance films, and live concert capture, as well as record label EPKs, and short-form digital content for contemporary platforms.

We are particularly recognised for our artist profile films and audio-visual albums. These are developed as long-form creative statements, grounded in deep understanding and first-hand experience of the commercial and professional realities of the contemporary classical music industry.

Filming and sound

We bring a detailed understanding of musical performance, rehearsal processes, and live environments, allowing us to work fluently with artists, ensembles, and institutions at the highest level.

Particular emphasis is placed on sound quality, with audio recorded separately using studio microphones to ensure clarity and depth. Where appropriate, we collaborate with leading audio producers to deliver sound production at full studio recording level.

Video editing

We also work with existing footage supplied by clients, providing expert editing and editorial shaping for online, broadcast, and direct marketing delivery. Whether creating new films or refining previously filmed material, our focus is always on coherence, musical integrity, and narrative flow.

Integration with the Creative Studio

Film and video work at Knight Classical is closely integrated with the wider Creative Studio, enabling projects to draw on in-house expertise across concept development, visual identity, artist management and artistic positioning, digital strategy, and content production.
